Day 14: Write A Gratitude Note To Someone

"A person's greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.” - Jackson Brown Jr.

December is here!!!! Can you believe it? I have so many plans for this upcoming month and I'm excited to see how they will all come to fruition! I have a lot more posts for you guys before we hit the new year, so I better get to work! But first let's finish this challenge, shall we? What better way to end the year then with a spirit of gratitude! My first post for December couldn't be better than this one: expressing my gratitude to someone!

When was the last time you expressed your gratitude towards someone? Without the need of a special occasion like Mother's Day, a birthday, an anniversary. How often do you take the time to tell someone how grateful you are for their friendship, loyalty, words of advice or guidance? Right off the top of your head, when you think of someone that you're grateful for, who comes to mind? While I have so many people in my life that I will write a gratitude note to, today my person is definitely you. yes, you!

Dear (insert your name here) ,

We are almost halfway through this gratitude challenge, and today I'd like to acknowledge you, and express my gratitude towards you. Thank you for taking the time to read my contents and for each meaningful comments. A special thanks those who have been rocking with me since my CHRONICLES OF A SICK ROSE days, my previous platform. I can't believe people are still reading my posts from 3 years ago! Thank you for those of you who have taken the time to send me private messages either to encourage me or to share part of your story with me as well. I love getting to know you! Thank you for your interests in my work, without your engagements, it would all be pointless. I'm grateful for your support, your words of advice, and for allowing me to share parts of my life with you. I hope that throughout those posts you've found inspiration, encouragement, gratitude, and a thirst to live your life fully!  You've made I Am Laura Charles a successful platform, by actively engaging, making this my small community. I appreciate every single one of you, and I am truly grateful for you.

Sincerely,

Your girl Laura

Your assignment: Write a gratitude note to someone you're grateful for, and thoroughly express why you are grateful for them.

Happy December Guys!

  1. Loved this post and yes we should practice writing letters of gratitude!! I will definitely follow your lead!

  2. I will definitely be doing this assignment, it would be great to do a 31 day letter (a different person per day).

    1. I never thought about that. That’s not a bad idea at all 😊

  3. I am so happy for your success! I had a lot of fun on the days that I participated! I will definitely be writing my gratitude letters this month!
