I Am Laura Charles X SuperPretzel

I was super excited when I found out that the Super Bowl was happening in my backyard (Miami) this year. Although I knew I couldn’t afford those tickets, I also knew that there would be tons of events and parties happening around the city on Super Bowl weekend. I certainly wasn’t looking forward to the traffic madness, but I was definitely looking forward to attending the events.
My wish came true when I got an invitation to work in partnership with SuperPretzel on Super Bowl weekend! Talking about good karma right?

SuperPretzel’s pop up event featured a food truck, stationed in Wynwood, also known as Miami’s art district. Their pop up was hard to miss if you were in the area. Free food and crowds go hand in hand! Even on a rainy day, people went out of their way to pose and snap a picture with the truck. They were even more excited to find out that they could also get freebies if they posted on social media using the hashtag #awesomesuperpretzelcart .

What made the event even more special was the replica of celebrity Chef Guy Fieri’s original pretzel cart. As a boy, Guy Fieri used to sell pretzels out of a cart that he made. I thought it was such a great collaboration between Superpretzel and Guy Fieri to bring back the cart for such a special event.

The highlight of the event was the sold out Cubano sandwiches made on pretzel buns. The almighty Cubano sandwich was made out of roast pork layered with ham, swish cheese, pickles, and yellow mustard. Heated up on a pretzel bun, that Cubano sandwich was one like no other. Everyone loved it and stood in the rain to get their bites.

SuperPretzel soft pretzels are savory baked snacks that can be used on any occasion. The company carries other snacks like cheese filled pretzel sticks, and pretzel dogs. To be honest, since I’ve been doing the keto diet, I haven’t really been snacking much. I even forgot how versatile pretzels can be as snacks. There are lots of different recipes listed on their websites. In fact, after I attended the event, I decided to go on a search for the best dipping sauce to go with my pretzel snacks for our Superbowl watch party.

After much research I opted to go with a spinach dip. I had never tried that dip on pretzels before, and it did not disappoint. Looking for the perfect spinach dip recipe? Look no further! This recipe is easy and only takes about 5 minutes.

Here is a list of the ingredients needed:

6 ounces marinated artichoke hearts, drained

One 10-ounce box frozen spinach, thawed

One 8-ounce package cream cheese, at room temperature

1 cup grated Parmesan

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

Combine the spinach and artichoke hearts in a large clean kitchen towel and wring out any excess moisture. Transfer to a large bowl.
Add the cream cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, a pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper. Use a handheld mixer to beat until combined, about 2 minutes.
Warm up frozen Super Pretzels soft pretzels from your favorite local grocery store, and serve warm.
